The Gruyere Naxos PDO Pittara remains for 12 months in the maturation chamber.
Rich and full flavor overflowing with aromas characterizes the PDO Naxos Gruyere of the Pittaras Creamery, which matures for 12 months in controlled conditions of temperature and humidity. In 2022 the Nikolas Pittaras livestock unit in Naxos, which produces 2.8 million kilos of milk per year, received certification both for the production of its products from Non-Genetically Modified animal feed and for meat and cheese products, as well as certification for the good management and welfare of the unit’s animals. Note that in 2022 the Platinum Medal for the 12-month Aged Gruyere was added to the multiple awards of the Pittara cheeses.
