PDO & PGI products of the South Aegean in the heart of the European Parliament
The South Aegean Region participated in the Greek Week of Gastronomy and Tradition in the capital of the European Union.
The Regional Councilor and Prefect of Naxos and Small Cyclades Yiannis Margaritis stated from the European Parliament that the South Aegean Region is everywhere inside and outside Greece to promote cultural tradition, to travel products and producers around the world, to support dozens of culinary events every year. We believe in Gastronomy as a force to highlight our cultural identity and we serve it with respect. Because, this is how we serve the identity and personality of our islands.
The South Aegean Region expresses its thanks to the producers who responded to its call: Agricultural Cooperative of Paros, Vallindra distilleries (Naxos), SANTO Game Cooperatives Union (Santorini), Filema- D. Pissaka (Rhodes), Babuni cheese factory (Naxos), and Pittaras Cheese Creamery (Naxos).
